The iSPACE iDEN Card integrates the Motorola iO-270 iDEN Module with the convenience and dependability of a standalone carrier card. iSPACE provides cellular and/or iDEN push-to-talk connectivity to users seeking a simplified solution to digital voice and data pass-through. iSPACE emulates the handheld iDEN device to include popular features such as Digital Cellular Voice, Packet Data Transfer, Push-to-Talk Digital Dispatch and Group Connect. Simply put, one card = one phone. Used in conjunction with scalable iDOCK chassis, users can load up to eight in-line iSPACE cards for use with industrial, commercial, and government applications.
iSPACE provides serial level conversion from the host controller (RS-232) to the iO-270 without alteration. iSPACE operates with the RIOS Dispatcher Console for Standalone iDEN/Smartphone Dispatching Systems as well as third-party console providers such as ZETRON and Avtec. When used with compatible software, such as RIOS Dispatch, iSPACE allows the user to set default PTT, timing buffers, gain, vox and additional device parameters.

iSPACE began with the simple idea of converting the cradle/charger iDEN handset (commonly found in dispatch applications) into a rackmount iDEN radio card. By eliminating the challenges of the battery-dependent handset, iSPACE iDEN was able to replace the cradle/charger with a dependable, long-lasting interface to all types of iDEN networks. Today, iSPACE iDEN cards are used throughout North America includes major iDEN networks including Sprint Nextel Direct Connect, SouthernLINC Wireless, TELUS Mike and other public and private iDEN networks.
